Singapore Institute of Certified Planners (SICP) provides certification of planners' qualifications in Singapore. Certified planners undertake to uphold SIP's Code of Ethics of overall responsibility to the public, clients and employers, profession and colleagues and professional conduct.
As part of SIP's drive to ensure that our members are continually developing their skills, knowledge, and to encourage contributions to the planning fraternity throughout their professional careers and beyond, SIP has instituted a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement for all registered members across the various membership categories.
The idea to have the SIP Planning Awards was mooted in the year 2006. The objective was to honour urban planners and the team for the various excellent planning projects or plans undertaken by urban planners and planning consultancy firms in Singapore and overseas.
