The Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP) is a professional organisation established in 1971, dedicated to the advancement of sustainable urban and regional planning, to create better communities and environments.

Urban and regional planning is a dynamic profession, and as a professional body, SIP is committed to aligning its development with industry growth. In 2017, SIP launched a three-year Strategic Plan and Industry Roadmap, supported by a Singapore Government grant, to guide the sector’s transformation amidst competition, digital disruption, and changing business models.
SIP focuses on enhancing the professional development and networking opportunities for its members, offering initiatives such as the Urban Planning Foundation Course and entrance examinations for our Affiliates.
