How does the planning/urban design methodology illustrate a holistic and thorough approach of planning and design practices? How does the plan demonstrate a high quality of research and analysis in determining its proposed concepts?

How does the plan champion and provide for all users and potential users in an equitable manner? How does the plan protect and nurture the natural environment? How does the plan ensure the continued economic success of the project, from operating and maintenance costs to return on investment? What are the short term and long-term benefits for the various public and private stakeholders? Emphasis will be placed on the specific themes related to the award categories. In addition, for the urban design categories, the core value demonstration will revolve around the design approach for the public space and/or the approach in heritage conservation

The project should show completion through any of the following factors:

• Implementation of the project on the ground.
• Approval of the project by a government or regulatory authority.
• (For student projects) Submission to a polytechnic or tertiary institution.
