Urban Planning Foundation Course
Event Synopsis

Objective: To provide an introductory package of foundational knowledge that will enable practicing Singapore planners as well as architects, engineers, landscape architects, real estate and other professionals involved in multidisciplinary urban planning project work to properly understand the origins and bases of current planning concepts, principles, norms, standards and regulations in Singapore and other countries.
How does it benefit you? The course will give the practitioners in planning and the allied professions on the foundation to planning principles, history and practices in the UK, US and Singapore. Both Royal Town Planning Institute and the American Planning Association will share case studies on the code of ethics in their respective countries.
Expert Panelist Dr Liu Thai Ker, Chairman of Centre of Liveable Cities, MND and Chairman of Morrow Architects and Planners will grace the Panel Discussion on “Challenges & Trends in Urban Planning”. Other panelists include RTPI President, APA Director of Outreach & International, Director of the Masters of Urban Planning programme at NUS and SIP President. |
