Event Synopsis

Cities are increasingly challenged by the polycrisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, income inequality, territorial expansionism, populist activism, misinformation, cyber insecurity etc. Individualism will only exacerbate these issues. Drawing from evolutionary theory, multilevel selection-based co-operation is the only answer. And to achieve it, cities will need to focus on their commons and the common good. This lecture will explore pathways to achieve this.
