Dr Simon Schubiger Principal Software Engineer ESRI Designing urban environments with 3D digital tools at scale is often complex and time-consuming. Parametic modelling can enable quicker iterations, real-time visual simulation and analytics. In this talk, Dr Schubiger introduces ArcGIS CityEngine, a parametric tool for the planning, design and analysis of 3D urban environments. He will discuss how parametric design and procedural modelling can be applied within the urban context, as well as how the process can better enable the extraction and evaluation of key planning statistics for informed decision-making to tac kle today’s urban design challenges. |
