SIP held a seminar on 20 September 2018 to feature the winning projects of the 5th SIP Planning Awards. We received good response and a total of 56 participants attended the award seminar which is held every two years. 8 of our winner speakers presented their winning projects as well as gave an update on their projects. The wide range of projects presented in terms of project locations, types and scales reflect the reach, depth and quality of the SIP Planning Award submission last year.
During both Q&A sessions, our speakers and audiences had an engaging and lively discussion on implementation aspects and challenges of their projects. One of our speakers, Mr Geoffrey Andrew Clyde, Director of AJC Planning Consultants Sdn Bhd and Garis Architects Sdn Bhd candidly mentioned during his presentation that the developer and local municipal council jointly agreed to take over the maintenance of the wetland park when he mentioned that it got a gold award for the infrastructure planning. Mr Wilfred Loo, President of SIP, thanked all the speakers for the excellent presentations and the Event Committee Members for the well organized event. The event ended with a networking session and sharing of experiences among the participants. We look forward to your submission for the Planning Award next year. |
